FILM RISS THEATER
FILM RISS THEATER, founded by Miriam Sachs, is a Berlin-based ensemble that merges theater, film, and other artistic disciplines in innovative ways. "Hemingway. Gaza. Big Fish." is a 2019-2020 theater production by Miriam Sachs, hosted at the Schaubude Berlin, that combines elements of Ernest Hemingway's novella The Old Man and the Sea with the situation in Gaza.The play, which features a collaboration between performers in Gaza and Berlin, uses the narrative of the fisherman's epic struggle against a giant marlin to explore themes of perseverance and the human condition within the context of conflict and hardship.
